George Goggans moved to New Orleans in 1986. He lost his mid-city home to Katrina in 2005. George has always considered New Orleans home, and he continues to teach and write there.

By day, George is a dedicated middle and high school English Language Arts (ELA) teacher, inspiring young minds to explore the power of stories, words, and imagination. By night (and any quiet moment in between), he’s crafting magical tales that bring the mysterious and hopeful world of Cajun Duck to life.
